workshop to identify obstacles to the introduction of AI in clinical diagnostics from a clinical and a business perspective
The development of algorithms and tools supported by artificial intelligence (AI) in medicine has seen an exponential growth in the past years. However, the integration into day-to-day clinical practice is still at an early stage. What are the main challenges? Are there any best practices yet? What can we learn from forerunners?
These and other questions will be discussed in an international. workshop organized by BioCon Valley® GmbH – Cluster Health Economy Mecklenburg-Vorpommern – in cooperation with ScanBalt, the Interreg Baltic Sea Region Project CAIDX, Dig-in-Health and the Network of German Health Regions (NDGR).
The workshop is aimed at:
- persons who are actively involved in the implementation of an AI-based clinical diagnostic in the clinical worksflow
- persons who are experiencing challenges and would like to exchange with others facing the same challenge
- people who are generally interested in an exchange with like-minded people.
The aim of the workshop is to identify obstacles to the introduction of AI in clinical diagnostics from a clinical as well as a business perspective and, if applicable, to present possible solutions and best practice examples.
The results of the workshop will be incorporated into the work of the EU project Clinical AI-based Diagnostics (CAIDX). The aim of the CAIDX project is to take a holistic look at the process of introducing AI into clinical diagnostics and, based on the findings, to develop a framework to support the implementation of AI in the diagnostic workflow. The focus will be on topics like technology, processes, change management and framework conditions.
