3rd Baltic Sea Health Region Meeting
“Building International Bridges in Health and Life Sciences beyond Baltic Sea Region – Challenges and Opportunities”
International Forum in the Context of the National Sector Conference on Health Economy, July 11th, 2013 - Yachthafenresidenz Hohe Düne - Rostock - Warnemünde, Germany
Health of the people is the wealth of society. Health is the most relevant topic in old societies like Germany with an average age of the population of 42 years as well as in young societies like Russia or the Emirates with an average age of about 30 years. Facing the challenge of becoming an older society all relevant innovations in products and services are welcome to overcome possible problems people are ending in. “ScanBalt Health Region” is the flagship project in the strategy of European Union to develop scientific and commercial expertise in the Baltic Sea Region.
The “Baltic Sea Health Region Meeting” - the international workshop at the “Nationale Branchenkonferenz Gesundheitswirtschaft” in Rostock - serves as the platform in Northern Europe to discuss the progress of developing and implementing modern Life Sciences solutions and exchange experience with other countries for the benefit of the patients. This year the focus is on exchange of expertise with experts from Russia and the United Arab Emirates.
The meeting is organised within the framework of the ScanBalt Health Region Flagship, led by Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Lithuania in cooperation with ScanBalt BioRegion. ScanBalt Health Region Flagship was approved by the EU-Commission within its Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region. The mission of the Flagship is to set up cross-sectoral and transnational reference projects for collaboration and innovations in both health and in life sciences in order to promote Public Health on a high and sustainable level and to make the region a globally leading and prosperous Health Region. The event takes place parallel to the “9th National Sector Conference Health Economy” in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
We are looking forward to welcome you in Rostock!
